Glory Life Community Center (GLCC) was founded by Dr. Andrew Loyd as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 based in Southeast Orlando, Florida. GLCC is a development center incorporated to educate children for the next generation of leaders in society. We will endeavor to educate parents in every area of family life, including, but not limited to, health, nutrition, social behavior, and interaction with their children. The overall vision of Glory Life Community Center, Inc. is to reconstruct the total life of individuals by offering the programs and services that will help improve the social, physical, mental, emotional and financial status of community members. This in turn will help individuals and families reach their true potential which has the power to elevate their standard of living. The community then begins to experience elevation as a by product of the improved lives of its residents.
The center will begin to take shape in a 49,000 square foot space that formerly housed a Winn Dixie grocery store and Appliance Direct store in Lancaster Square Plaza. Greater Glory Life Center has been located at the space next door for almost 16 years and when the opportunity presented itself to acquire the space Dr. Loyd knew it was time to make the move. The building has been empty and neglected for quite some time so to say there is work to be done is an understatement. An engineering firm has been contracted to provide the buildout plans to Orange County and the City of Orlando. Once the plans are approved, the work begins. The center, when complete, will include the new home of Greater Glory Life Center, Glory Life Christian Academy which will provide daycare through grade 12, a senior citizen recreation center, a youth center for ages 12-25, community meeting room and the first Orlando location of Loyd Have Mercy restaurant. The first two phases will be the restaurant and the church build out.
We will strive to improve your social, physical, mental, emotional, and financial status, which will empower you to live productive lives. Our goal will be to help individuals achieve their true potential and highest standard of living. Our center will enable people or families to become productive in today’s society. The community center will help people who come for help to transform their lives to a better lifestyle. Glory Life Community Center is committed to, “Restoring Life to the Community”
Southeast Orlando has no other available centers that would help people in every area of life. Glory Life Community Center will fill a definite void in the community.
